Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 24, 2026
App Name: Hourbeam
Developer Contact: hourbeam-support@gmail.com
Overview
Hourbeam helps users maintain personal medication profiles, schedules, and dose records on their device. This policy explains how information is handled by the app.
Information We Collect
Hourbeam stores information that users enter into the app, including profile names, medication names, dosage text, notes, schedule times, medication colors, and dose history such as taken, snoozed, skipped, scheduled time, recorded time, and optional notes. This information is stored locally using Hive app storage.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Hourbeam does not include an account system, authentication, cloud sync, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash reporting SDK, location collection, camera access, microphone access, contacts access, or photo library access in the inspected source code.
How We Use Information
The app uses locally stored information to show schedules, medication lists, active profiles, dose history, and reminders inside the app experience. Optional Google In-App Purchases are used only for voluntary contributions.
Data Sharing
Hourbeam does not intentionally share locally stored profile, medication, or dose history data with the developer. Purchase processing is handled through Google Play billing services. The privacy policy screen opens a web page through an in-app WebView.
Third-Party Services
The inspected source code uses Google Play Billing through the in_app_purchase package for contribution purchases and WebView loading for the privacy policy page. The app includes Android internet permission for WebView and billing-related network access. It also uses local Flutter packages for storage, fonts, charts, and app UI behavior.
Data Storage and Security
User-entered app data is stored locally on the device. The inspected source code does not implement cloud storage or a custom encryption layer. Device-level protections, operating system controls, and user device backups may affect how app data is protected outside the app.
Data Retention and Deletion
Information remains on the device until the user edits or deletes it, uninstalls the app, or uses the in-app delete-all-data option. The delete-all-data option clears local profiles, medications, dose history, and settings, then recreates the default local profile.
Children’s Privacy
Hourbeam is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no account system, the developer does not intentionally identify child users.
User Choices
Users can add, edit, archive, or delete medication entries where the app provides those controls. Users can delete local app data from inside Settings or remove the app from the device. Optional contribution purchases are voluntary and do not provide additional features or content.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the app changes. The effective date will be revised when updates are made.
