STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE OF

HOT AIR OVEN

·        Ensure the cleanliness of the instrument.

·        Open the ventilation knob provided on top of the oven.

·        Switch on the power supply.

·        Electronic temperature controller displays the chamber temperature.

·        Set the required temperature by pushing the ‘PUSH’ switch.

·        Set the temperature with the help of the second potentiometer knob.

·        Release the ‘PUSH’ switch.

·        Indicator bulb glows which indicates that the power to the heater is on.

·        Switch on the fan switch for air circulation.

·        Use a rotary switch for precise control of temperature.

·        Four positions of Rotary switch are available as follows:-

·        Off position

·        5 degrees Celsius above ambient to 90°C,

·        90 degrees Celsius to 150°C

·        150 degrees Celsius to 250°.
