Host Family Program

Feel Japanese hospitality

Host Family Program is organized by the Alumni Association of Civil Engineering Department, the University of Tokyo.

Since its establishment in 1985, we have been supporting many international students in having fulfilling lives in Japan with warm hospitality of various Japanese families.

※This program is not to let students to stay at host family's house but to have continuous relationship with host family.

Message from the latest Alumni

This program is very useful for support new comers for adaptation period, sharing culture and traditions of Japan nation for new comers, and I am very thankful for Tokyo University for this amazing experience.
Honestly speaking this is the best program for international students to support. Beside the fact that host family introduce students to the real life of Japanese family, they are really supportive for any other issues. Also need to be mentioned that the coordinators of the program are very kind and friendly.
