Welcome
My name is Hossein Ghaderi, and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Western University. I will be on the 2025-2026 job market, and expect to graduate in 2026.
My research interests lie in Financial Economics, Computational Finance, and Financial Econometrics. Broadly, I am interested in using options data to answer key questions in finance. My job-market paper explores how macroeconomic data and MIDAS models explain the pricing-kernel puzzle.
Before starting Ph.D., I was a lecturer and senior research fellow at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Department of Health Economics, where I focused on simulation models for cost-effectiveness analysis and econometric methods in healthcare and insurance demand analysis.
I have extensive experience teaching microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and health economics, as well as Python applications in econometrics.
