I grew up in Southern IN/KY area and moved to Colorado in January 2010 after I married my husband, Joel. I started my journey in education by teaching math at Newton Middle School in LPS for 8 years. In 2014, I received my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Adams State University. I decided to make the transition from math teacher to school counseling, which is what brought me to Cresthill. I am a Board Certified Counselor, and this is my sixth year at Cresthill. I am currently seeking my EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.
My husband and I have three sons (Xavier, 8; Jaxon, 6; and Knox, 3) and one daughter (Xylah, 1). In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, writing, gardening, and completing projects I find on Pinterest. =)
I am truly looking forward to this school year and am excited to get to know each of my students!
