Hoon Choi


I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics at Chung-Ang University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Barcelona in 2018. My research focuses on labor economics, economics of education, and policy evaluation, using applied microeconometrics and natural experiments.

I serve on the editorial boards of the Korean Journal of Labor Economics and the Korea Review of Applied Economics. I received the Baemugi Academic Award from the Korean Labor Economics Association and was recognized as an Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Member in course evaluations for three consecutive semesters.
