If you want a lightweight pair of earbuds with exceptional battery life and stable connectivity for long rides, choose HONOR Choice Earbuds X7i; if you need rugged waterproofing and advanced audio customization for intense conditions, choose TOZO NC3. Both are strong contenders in the wireless space, but they solve different problems. The choice ultimately comes down to whether your priority is endurance and comfort during hours of use or durability against the elements and deep sound tuning.
• HONOR Choice Earbuds X7i: Offers an impressive 40-hour total battery life and weighs just 4.2g per earpiece for minimal fatigue, but its IP54 rating is only splash-resistant rather than fully waterproof.
• TOZO NC3: Features a robust IPX8 waterproof rating capable of handling complete immersion and heavy rain, paired with a highly customizable app, though it lacks the specific battery longevity stats found in the HONOR model.
• Best For: HONOR Choice Earbuds X7i is ideal for commuters and riders who prioritize all-day listening without charging anxiety, while TOZO NC3 fits users who sweat heavily or ride in torrential rain and demand deep bass customization.
The HONOR Choice Earbuds X7i stands out primarily because of its endurance. With a single charge providing up to eight hours of playtime and a charging case that extends that total to 40 hours, this device is engineered for people who do not want to think about their battery level until the job is done. For someone spending six hours on a motorcycle or working a long shift, knowing you have a full work week of music between charges changes the user experience entirely. This isn't just a minor convenience; it is a fundamental shift in how you interact with your audio gear. You stop carrying portable chargers or worrying about dead buds mid-conversation.
Comfort is another pillar of this design. At only 4.2 grams per earpiece, the weight difference is negligible, which matters significantly when wearing them for extended periods. Heavy earbuds can cause ear fatigue, leading to removal after an hour or two. The HONOR model uses an ergonomic bud shape designed to sit securely without pressure points. Combined with three sizes of included ear tips, it aims to create a precise fit that isolates noise naturally before even activating the active noise cancellation. The Bluetooth 5.3 chip ensures a stable connection, which is critical for avoiding dropouts in complex environments like traffic or crowded gyms.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
This product is for the rider who values consistency and lightness above all else. If you are looking for the best memory foam ear cushions in ear headphones for motorcycle riding where the weight is the primary enemy, the X7i's ultra-light build makes it a serious candidate. However, you must be realistic about its water resistance. With an IP54 certification, it handles dust and light splashes well, but it is not built for submersion. If you plan to ride through a monsoon or get caught in a sudden downpour that soaks your gear, this might not be the most durable option compared to heavier-duty alternatives. It is also worth noting that while it features AI Noise Cancellation for calls, the maximum depth listed is around 40dB, which is effective but slightly less aggressive than some competitors.
TOZO NC3: Who It's For
The TOZO NC3 takes a different approach by prioritizing resilience and audio control. Its standout feature is the IPX8 waterproof rating, which means these earbuds are protected against complete immersion in water under specific laboratory conditions. This is a significant step up from standard splash resistance. For anyone who rides a motorcycle in unpredictable weather, sweats profusely during workouts, or simply hates the thought of damaging electronics with moisture, this rating provides peace of mind that the HONOR model cannot match. It suggests a build quality designed to survive the harshest environments without flinching.
Audio-wise, the TOZO NC3 leans into customization and power. It utilizes OrigX technology to deliver deep bass down to 18Hz while maintaining clear mids and trebles. What truly sets it apart for audiophiles is the companion app, which allows users to switch between 32 preset modes. Whether you prefer a heavy thump for electronic music or a balanced profile for podcasts, you can fine-tune the sound to your exact preference. The hybrid active noise cancellation here reaches up to 45dB, matching the top-tier claims of other brands. Furthermore, the inclusion of six microphones for call clarity and ENC ambient noise reduction indicates a focus on voice isolation that goes beyond simple noise blocking.
