What exactly is clickfunnels? I’ve read many reviews on this software and none explains what clickfunnels is all about.
So in this review story, I’m going to be explaining exactly what clickfunnels is all about; what it actually is, what you can do with it, and I’ll be going through the pros and cons of the tool as well as the pricing.
What's inside of clickfunnels?
So this is clickfunnels, as you can see there are lots of different aspects you can utilize inside of clickfunnels.
Click Funnels Is a website and Sales Funnel Builder for entrepreneurs and business owners. It helps you to market, sell and deliver your products online in such a way where you don't have to spend thousands of dollars on say a web designer to build out a sales funnel for you.
In a nutshell that's basically what clickfunnels is designed for and what it's all about.
So you have control of your sales funnel, you have control of your business, and you can manage this powerful tool to generate a ton of leads and make a ton of sales for your business on an easy to use marketing platform.
As you can see, there are lots of different tools inside of clickfunnels. You can also leverage “actionetics”, which is clickfunnels’ built-in email marketing tool.
They also have their own complete affiliate management system called “backpack”, which you can actually use as your central traffic source instead of running Facebook ads or Google Adwords by yourself. So you save money that way.
Obviously the main tool inside of clickfunnels is their "sales funnel builder", which is going to help you build landing pages, webinar funnels and sales funnels. And if you're a course creator and you create digital products, you can also build membership sites inside of clickfunnels to deliver your membership courses and products to your customers of which you can also a build sale funnel around as well. Clickfunnels covers the web hosting for you which comes completely free with your clickfunnels subscription.
The platform allows you to do split-testing and you can also integrate your favorite email marketing autoresponders like AWeber, Getresponse Activecampaign. All this is integrated with clickfunnels and you can do that really easily.
Now what is a sales funnel?
We went over how clickfunnels is a sales funnel builder, but what is a sales funnel? Some of you reading might already know what a sales funnel is so I’m gonna talk about this briefly.
So pretty much it's just a series of steps and pages where the whole purpose is to pretty much guide your customers and your visitors, to a buying decision or if there's some sort of call to action, where you want them to complete an action like to have a potential customer fill in their email address so they subscribe to your email list.
So here’s how it works,
They opt-in, they put in their email address,
they are then taken to a one-time-offer where they can buy a product,
the customer then goes to a checkout page.
after that they are presented with another upsell where they can spend more money, which makes you more money obviously and then,
the last step is where you deliver your products; that your customers bought from you.
That's how a very basic sales funnel functions.

With clickfunnels there are obviously pros that come with using the platform.
That's why I'm writing this review because if this was an average tool, it would not even be worth my time writing this long review. It's a good tool… it’s a great tool in fact, but there are negatives that needs to be looked at. So I want to go over the cons first so you can really be aware of those drawbacks if you do decide to get clickfunnels.
The things that really suck with Clickfunnels in my opinion are the following:
1. 20 funnels limit, so you actually get limited funnels and pages and traffic with the standard plan.
So there are two different plans, which we'll be looking at. To be clear you still have full functionality to clickfunnels in their standard plans. The restrictions aren't too big; it's just that you only have like 20 funnels. So you have 20 sales funnels in your account, a hundred pages and you can only have like a hundred and twenty thousand visitors per month to your funnels on the standard plan.
But that’s more than enough. Once the income flows in upgrading is easy.
So those are the restrictions. They're not massive restrictions where the range of what you wish to accomplish is drastically limited.
2. The second thing is that the support is pretty average.
I've never had any bad experience with the support at all, they seem to be alright considering clickfunnels is this giant company that has so many people using it as it really helps people out. It would be nice if they did have exceptional support instead of having what might come across as average support. Maybe that's just my opinion as not all the people have had the same experience.
However I do think it's decent and I guess there's just nothing that exceptional I reckon, but room for improvement exists and I'm sure clickfunnels will improve their support as time goes by. I don’t doubt this as they're always coming up with updates and new improvements to that tool. So I’m excited to see what they'll do in that regard.
3. The last thing is that there are many things to learn inside of clickfunnels.
So you may be overwhelmed when you start your 14-day trial. You may be like wow, there's like 50 million things I need to learn. I'm gonna be helping you with that as well, that’s why I recommend you go through their free training where you learn from their top users. If you’re familiar with similar web builders this will be a walk in the park to master. In that case you can just start using the platform.
Now let's look at the PROS of clickfunnels:
It’s really simple to use
It's an easy to use drag-and-drop.
It's a drag-and-drop page editor and it's really simple to use and that's what they market. The Clickfunnels team themselves designed it so that it’s easy to use for even the novice of users.
You just simply drag-and-drop. You don't have to do or know any custom HTML or CSS. So you can ditch your web designer for which you'd have to pay thousands of dollars for. It’s pretty much a very simple and easy tool to use. I will also provide to you further down, access to a bunch of professionally done-for-you funnels and page templates. That way you don't even have to create your own. All you can do is just copy and paste the proven high-converting done-for-you funnels and you can customize them for your own brand and business. So you’ll be up and running in no time.
Your sales funnels will be automatically imported to your account.
It's like copy and pasting a website, but you’re literally going to be uploading a money-making machine to your friend or your business partner or to your team.
It's pretty cool, right?
I briefly mentioned the individual clickfunnels features “actionetics” and “backpack” that comes with getting this tool. That's what it’s marketed as. You don't have to spend tones of money on other tools; it's all in one platform for you.
It's just ten times more simplistic and convenient for you, which saves you a lot of time on your marketing endeavors.
They also give you a free domain. They actually give you a free domain with your clickfunnels account totally free, which is pretty cool and obviously you can quickly build sales funnels that convert especially with the templates that you have at your disposal.
You can also integrate your email integrations with clickfunnels including your active campaigns from Aweber GetResponse or whatever email auto responder you use, but you don't actually have to use “actionetics” if you don't want to.
Now let's go inside the software and really see what clickfunnels is like.
If you want to create a sales funnel, just click on add new and if you want you can use one of their done-for-you sales funnels right off the bat.
Creating Your 1st funnel step-by-step
Start with The Cookbook or The Classic Funnel Builder
From your dashboard click + New Funnel
On the next screen, you can choose to use the Classic Funnel Builder or the Funnel Cook Book.
Please note: The difference between the Classic Funnel Builder and the Cookbook. The Classic Funnel Builder allows you to choose a goal and select a funnel type and then select the page templates for the funnel. The Cookbook, allows you to narrow down a funnel type based on your industry, the type of funnel and your goal when using the Cookbook you will be provided with a number of narrowed down funnels and (free and paid) templates to choose from.
Step 1. The Classic Funnel Builder
Choose a Goal (Collect Emails, Sell Your Product, Host Webinar).
Choose a Type [Name Your Funnel, Enter A Group Tag (optional)]
Click Build Funnel.
Step 2. The Funnel Cookbook
Open The Funnel Cookbook. (after clicking + New Funnel, x out of the Classic Funnel Builder To View The Funnel Cookbook)
Select Industry.
Choose The Type Of Funnel.
Choose Your Goal.
Select The Template Suggestion
Choose Your Template Free or Paid.
Download or Purchase Your Template.
Step 3. Integrations and Products Overview
Set-Up A Custom Domain (to brand your funnels).
Set-Up SMTP Integration (for email sending).
If you are selling a product set up a Payment Gateway (to accept payments).
Want others to sell your product as affiliates of your product, set up your BackPack system.
Russell Brunson the CEO of clickfunnels provides you with a bunch of amazing videos going over how you can make the most of the sales funnels and get the best results possible with it.
You'll pretty much be creating a new funnel and you can still use a bunch of the templates with the pages, but it's not going to be a complete done-for-you your funnel if that makes sense. I personally like using the Jason 2-step trip wire Funnel.
If you want to collect emails, sell your product or host a webinar, you can choose one of the integration options where if you want to integrate AWeber or Shopify if you're doing ecommerce, you can add Shopify it's pretty much the same process as creating your funnel. (See step 3 above)
You can name your sales funnel, you can also put in tags if you want.
There is a bunch of templates to choose from. There are templates for email, Thank You pages, sales pages, webinar pages, membership pages… there a templates for everything.
You can also make use of a two-step order form OTO (One-Time-Offers pages) which allows to create downsells and upsells by simply adding them.
Yeah, you can do all that.
You can just drag and drop different elements on the page.
The easy user interface and builder allows for multiple customizations of your page to make it uniquely your own. You can use images of your lead magnets, offers, colors schemes and custom text modifications creating visually stunning but effective landing pages that convert. That way people are compelled to subscribe to you and take you up on your offer.
It’s so easy in fact once you get the hang of it that you can create a landing page in just a few minutes.
Clickfunnels Pricing Plans
Clickfunnels has two pricing plans, the $97 plan which is their standard plan and the $297 a month plan which is their etison Suite.
As mentioned before the standard plan has some restrictions. You only get 20 funnels into your account, but you can have a hundred pages in clickfunnels account and allows for over 100,000 visitors 120,000 I believe even though it is advertised as only 20,000. You actually have more visitors per month for the starter plan.
You can have three custom domains to your $97 a month plan and you unlimited everything with your “etison Suite” plan plus the additional tools, “actionetics” and “backpack”. So yeah, pretty much you get full access to clickfunnels with no restrictions.
If you want to use “actionetics” with clickfunnels or if you want to use “backpack” where you can have an army of affiliates and having a clickfunnels account with no restrictions, then you can definitely sign up to get a free trial for the $297 a month plan to see if that's right for you and your business.
