Coach Johnson is entering his 6th season at Head Coach of the Big Black. He attended Northern Arizona University and then Adams State University. At Adams State, he was a three year letter winner for their collegiate football team. He is the husband of Amy Johnson, and the proud father of three children. He teaches Physical Education at Pomona. Previously he has coached at Arapahoe High School where he worked with the football team for four years and the wrestling team for nine. He then coached football Englewood High School for three years. During his time at Pomona he has led the team to the 2021 league 5A Jeffco Championship, the 2025 North 1 League Championship and the 2025 3A State Championship. He has coached multiple all conference and all state players, and has helped many students make their way to college through athletics. He is excited to continue the winning tradition of Pomona Football.
