Hi, I’m Kiara! I am from India and I’m studying Architecture in New Zealand. My family lives in Delhi but for higher education, I moved to NZ with my cousin. As a daughter, it’s quite emotionally difficult to stay away from family and childhood friends.

My dad recently underwent surgery and we were all so scared. I wanted to be there and support him, but I had my exams, and it tore me apart on what I should do next.

That’s when one of my close friends told me about how he had availed of home care services in Delhi in a similar situation.

I had no idea of what that was, so I did a quick google search later I learned that while I can’t be there next to my dad, I can assure you a fully qualified nurse attends to all his needs at home, 24/7 if needed.

I had no idea this was even possible and I immediately called the service. They told me they can send over a well-trained nurse and attendant tomorrow, and once there the nurse can assess the situation, and can better advise me on my dad's home medical care needs.

As promised, they reached my house at 11 am India time the next morning, met my dad, assessed his surgery wound, and assured us that it’s nothing to worry about. This was such a relief as we were in such flux as to how he would go to the hospital every day in his condition.

A few weeks later I’m happy to share that my dad has made a full recovery! :D

I couldn’t be happier! I’m so happy I called these guys, they brought over a well-trained, qualified, and very gentle, approachable home nurse, who even helped bring all the medical dressing materials without fail every day for the last 3 weeks.

I’ve even been told they can send over a female home nurse and attendant for women patients, and in addition to home care services in Delhi also offer elderly care services in Delhi.

During one of our conversations, the home nurse even told us how they’ve helped set up a complete home ICU for rent in Delhi, with all the latest medical equipment for many patients. Imagine that! I hope whoever needed that is ok now!!

I did ask why someone would want an ICU setup at home and not the hospital, and the home nurse told us that ICU beds at the hospital are very expensive. So, it’s not uncommon for patients with chronic medical conditions to save money and receive treatment in the comfort of their homes with a dedicated ICU or other medical equipment for rent in Delhi.

If that wasn’t news enough, I even learned that as it’s very difficult for critical home care patients to visit the hospital for medical tests, it’s even possible to conduct many medical tests at home including blood investigations, ECG, ABG, Holter monitoring, and X-Rays!

Anyway, I hope my family stays safe and healthy, and there is no need for home services again.
