The Town Homecoming Postcard Set

In 1910, after years of strong civic improvement, Washington put together the first in a series of annual city homecoming events, inviting former residents back for a week long celebration to see how much the town had changed.  Hundreds of former Washingtonians would return each year for the festival.  After one of these celebrations, a postcard set was printed showing the square in full decor, ready for the throng of people to arrive.  Below are the known specimens of this postcard set, probably dating to 1911 or 1912.
