Radiofrequency Ablation

A radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of  (Neck, back, Sacroiliac) is a procedure that

uses radio waves to heat and destroy nerves.

These nerves carry pain signals from the injured joint to the brain.

Radiofrequency ablation may be recommended for those patients who have received short term pain

relief after injecting the specific joint with anesthetic medicine but have had unsuccessful results with later therapy.
