国際婦人交流会とは

　当会は、北海道大学の現及び旧教職員の妻と女性教職員で構成されるボランティア団体です。

　1982年以来、北大に来学される外国人研究者・留学生とその家族の方々との交流を図り、「日常の暮らし」を支援することを目的として活動しており、1994年度には北海道国際文化交流賞を、1999年には北海道社会貢献賞を、また2001年には留学生受け入れ制度百年記念留学生交流功労者表彰をいただきまして、ますます社会的責任を感じております。

　これまで様々な国の方々と交流し、多くの事を学ばせていただきました。年2回のガレージセール、四季折々の行事を通して日本文化の紹介、週2回の日本語サロンなど、「できる時に、できる事を、無理なく、楽しく」をモットーとして活動しております。本会のご趣旨をご理解いただき、皆様のご支援とご協力をお願い申し上げます。

Hokkaido University International Woman's Club (IWC)

International Woman's Club (IWC) is a volunteering club whose members are university female staff, and wives of university staff and retired staff. It was established in 1982 to communicate and support daily life of international researchers and students of Hokkaido University and their families.

In the past, IWC has received many awards for its activities, including Award for Hokkaido International Cultural Communication in 1994, Award for Hokkaido Social Cooperation in 1999, Award for Hyakunenkinen Exchange Students Cooperation in 2001. Received these awards we feel we must strengthen our activities more as social responsibilities.

IWC has cooperated with many people from various countries and has also learned various things from these people. Our motto is, "Volunteer things and time when you have your time with pleasure."

Some of our activities are, backyard sales for international students twice a year, introduction of Japanese cultures, and Japanese language lessons twice a week. IWC thanks those who are interested in our activities and welcomes support and cooperation.
