Luther

Background

• Luther was born in Japan but spent his childhood in New Russia, with only his mother who suffers from an unnamed mental illness, is housebound and largely mute. Luther would always help her if she needed it even though she often insisted against, still he became somewhat socially withdrawn himself as a result.

• A few years into high school he met a new supply teacher; an older man with wisdom to share. They would talk about the Leviathan together during their breaks, he overtime became almost a father figure to Luther and someone whom he deeply admired.

• Luther sees power in knowledge and wants to find the answers to things else they gnaw at the back of his mind.

• After the assumed death of his mother, and disappearance of his teacher he gains a desire for revenge too, and begins to question how much of what he knows about the Leviathan and the world around him is actually true.

• Later it is revealed that Luther was someone else in a past life, someone who never fully died, and half of his soul happens to have never been his.
