Harlequin's Night Street League Event Worcester on Thursday 10th Jan 2019

Venue & Travel

The HQ is at The King Charles 2nd Pub at 29 New Street, Worcester, WR1 2DP. I have reserved 2 tables from 6pm. Registration will be on the ground floor. Another table available upstairs.

The Course will cover Worcester city center including parts of the river and canal. Typically city roads with interlinking paths and the pedestrianised town center.

As it is open to the public any items left by the tables while you run are at your own risk. I will have a bag which I will keep with be at all times if you need to leave valuables such as wallet or phone.


There are many car park around the city. The closest is St Martins Gate Park WR1 2BS


Worcester Foregate Street train station is a 6 minutes walk away.


General urban running. Pavements and paths, some of the paths are poorly lit, occasionally with steps. All Controls will be accessible via no-stepped routes. A head torch or light is highly recommended.


A modified Obrien Open Orienteering map. A4 Scale 1:5000 (Subject to change).


The event is a 60 minute score event, control sites which may be visited in any order, visiting a control will score between 10, 20 or 30 points each.

Penalties of 1 point per 6 seconds over the time limit. No control kites are used. Competitors are provided with a control sheet with control descriptions and proof of visit will be by recording information specific to the site. Typical sites are lamp posts, street signs. A pencil or pen will be required to record the control Information.


On the day.

If you know you will be running please reserve a map at Make Resevation . Spare maps will be available on the night.

Competitors can run individually, or as a pair / team if they prefer.

Under 16s can run if they are accompanied by an adult.

Electronic Sport-Ident card will be used for Start and Finish times, writing down set information about a control will be proof of visiting a control. Please bring your SI-Card to registration. SI-Cards may be hired for £1.00. A Pen or Pencils will be required.


Competitors take part at their own risk. Whistles must be carried. Hi-visibility, reflective clothing and headtorches should be used.
