PROFILE SUMMARY
Dr. Hoach The Nguyen received B.S. degree with the title of Electrical Power System Engineer from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2007, M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Dayeh University, Taiwan, in 2010, and Ph.D. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Dongguk University, Seoul, Korea, in 2018. His research interests include control of power electronics based systems, optimization of electric power with specified applications on motor drives for wind turbines, electric vehicles, distributed generation systems, power system scheduling, water/power load flow optimization. He is also working in the areas of model predictive control, advanced control methods, disturbance and nonlinear systems, optimization with convex relaxations, sum of squares techniques in control design, artificial intelligence. He serves as reviewer for various Journals from IEEE Transactions.
