ABOUT ME

I believe that knowledge should be dynamic—flowing freely across territories, classrooms, and decision-making spaces. Guided by this vision, I lead the Office of Research and Graduate Studies at Universidad de Manizales, where I design strategies to connect science, graduate education, and regional development.

As a social scientist, my work focuses on regional economics, business management, and academic leadership. I am recognized as a Senior Researcher by Minciencias and serve on the Academic Council of the Academia de Ciencias Administrativas (ACACIA). I have also served as a visiting professor at universities in Mexico, Spain, and Argentina.

My academic journey has been acknowledged by institutions such as Junior Chamber International (JCI), Global Shapers – Hub Manizales, the Asociación Colombiana de Facultades de Administración (ASCOLFA), the Academia de Ciencias Administrativas (ACACIA), the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC), the Universidad de Manizales, and the Colegio Nacional de Licenciados en Administración de Empresas in Ensenada, Mexico.

My research focuses on productive territorial development, strategic decision-making in organizational contexts, and regional dynamics that influence business competitiveness and sustainability. I strive to produce rigorous, relevant, and applicable knowledge with real impact across diverse settings.

I believe in an ethics of knowledge nurtured through consistent practice, rigorous reflection, and a deep connection with the environment. I find inspiration in movement, nature, and everyday rituals: running at dawn, training with intention, and enjoying the quiet among mountains, horses, and a good cup of coffee.

I think, act, and teach with a territorial focus and a transformative vision. I’m open to collaborating through academic networks, applied research projects, and learning spaces where knowledge leads to meaningful change.

Let’s connect our ideas and turn them into actions that transform.
