#1 FAQ: How do I host a Great Gathering?

1. Define your event

Gatherings are parties, concerts, lessons, game nights, crafting, athletic and other events dreamed up and hosted by our students, families, parents and staff. Further down this page you'll find the full list of events from three previous years. Follow suit or cook up something unique.

For a quick list of ideas check out: 55 Great Ideas, 25 Great Ideas for Kids, and 25 Great Ideas for Adults.

2. Host or Co-host?

Some folks like to fly solo and some need a co-pilot. Talk to other parents or staff to see if you can enlist them in your idea or help them host theirs. Be creative--make it memorable!

3. Consider the cost

You (and your partner/s) pick up the tab for your event. All proceeds go to the Horace Mann PTA to provide enrichment tools needed to help our children develop and achieve academic excellence.

4. Fill out GG form

This link takes you right to a Great Gatherings 2020 Submission form. When you submit your form, we'll add your event to the Auction book and send you a confirmation.

Pick a date between March 20th and November 30, 2020.

When planning your event, consider what else might be going on that day or weekend. We wouldn't want three kindergarten events happening on the same day so we may ask you to reschedule if there are conflicts.

Be creative! But here's what you need to remember:

We need your form by March 9th for publication in the Silent Auction book.
