Who am I?

Thank you for visiting my page.

I am currently a lecturer and a researcher in Sam Ratulangi University, Indonesia. Additionally, I am working as a consultant at Indonesian Regional Body for Planning and Development and Regional Office of Directorate General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance.

I received my PhD. degree from Georgia State University (GSU). During the PhD program at GSU, I worked as a graduate research assistant doing researches on tax and non-tax business incentives of states in the U.S. and other countries around the world.

My PhD. dissertation examines an information asymmetry between government and applicants within welfare programs in a single jurisdiction and multiple jurisdictions settings both at a single period and multiple periods of time. My writing sample investigates the asymmetry conditioning on take-up rates, predicts the take-up rates of states in the U.S. and simulates the changes in the rates as state governments adjust the eligibility requirements. My other papers include analyses of college dropouts facing low-income individuals, the effects of family’s pecuniary variables on college survival rate, and dynamics of income inequality and people migration. I have worked closely with Dr. Yongsheng Xu (dissertation committee chair) and under the direction of Dr. Sally Wallace, Dr. Carlianne Patrick at Georgia State University and Dr. Vivi Alatas from the World Bank. In the last few years, I attended and presented in various teaching seminars at Georgia State University and economic conferences in the U.S. Additionally, I presented my papers at Indonesian Regional Body for Planning and Development and Regional Office of Directorate General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance. I also contributed as moderator in various seminars and workshops held by Ministry of Finance, the American Institute for Indonesian Studies and others.
