Simon Kururu worked at Burundi's national radio station under President Jean-Baptiste Bagaza between 1979 and 1985. In his account, he recounts several anecdotes that illustrate the hierarchical structure of Burundi's national radio station in the early 1980s. Today, Simon Kururu regrets the disappearance of the School of Journalism, which he helped to create in 1981.
