Dacia Munezero worked for eight months at Iwacu in 2014 before joining forces with other bloggers to create the Yaga platform. This platform was launched a few weeks before the start of protests against Pierre Nkurunziza's third term in April 2015. In her account, Dacia Munezero recounts Yaga's beginnings in the politically tense context of Bujumbura and the challenges that have characterised the work of bloggers for years.

In the interview excerpt below, Dacia recounts a defining moment in her career: the moment when an attack was launched against RTNB during the attempted coup on 13 May 2015, while bloggers from the young Yaga platform were working in the neighbouring Bujacafé bar.
