Welcome to HisabNote (“we”, “our”, or “us”). HisabNote is an offline-first personal expense tracker and money management application designed to help individuals log and track income, expenses, and savings securely.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, storage, usage, and protection when you use our mobile application.
HisabNote operates under a strict offline-first and privacy-by-design architecture:
No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal identification (such as your name, phone number, or email address) to use the app.
No Remote Data Transmission: We do NOT operate remote servers to harvest or store your personal or financial data.
Local Storage Only: All transaction records, expense categories, notes, amounts, timestamps, and app settings are stored locally on your device in secure sandbox storage (using Hive local database).
Financial Entries: Income amounts, expense amounts, category choices, payment dates, and optional transaction notes entered by you.
Application Preferences: Selected currency symbol/code (e.g., BDT ৳, USD $, EUR €), visual theme preference (System default, Light mode, Dark mode), PIN security code (if enabled), and daily reminder notification time.
Important: All this data stays strictly on your local device. It is never uploaded to our servers or transmitted to any third party.
We do NOT collect personally identifiable information (PII).
We do NOT collect bank account numbers, credit/debit card numbers, or banking credentials.
We do NOT collect precise or approximate GPS location data.
We do NOT collect advertising identifiers (GAID/IDFA) or device tracking metrics.
We do NOT record contact lists, SMS messages, camera, or microphone data.

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Used exclusively to trigger your optional daily reminder notifications (e.g., at 9:00 PM) reminding you to log daily transactions. You can enable or disable this at any time in Settings.
We do not request storage, camera, contacts, location, or background tracking permissions.
HisabNote does not integrate third-party analytics (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel), advertisement networks (such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads), or tracking SDKs.
The application utilizes open-source libraries (e.g., Flutter framework, Hive database, Google Fonts, FL Chart) running completely on the client side without telemetry or remote data harvesting.
If you click external links inside the app (such as visiting this Privacy Policy URL), the link opens in your default web browser under the respective website’s privacy policy.
We take the security of your data seriously:
Local Sandboxing: Your data is kept within Android’s secure application sandbox, preventing unauthorized applications from reading your database.
Optional PIN Protection: You can enable an in-app 4-digit PIN lock from Settings > Security & Privacy to safeguard your records against unauthorized access on your physical device.
No Cloud Vulnerabilities: Because your financial transactions never traverse the internet or reside on cloud databases, there is zero risk of remote database breaches.
You retain full ownership and control over your financial records at all times:
Edit/Delete Entries: You can modify or delete individual income/expense items at any time.
Reset All Data: You can permanently delete all transaction records and reset your settings by navigating to Settings > Data Management > Reset All Data.
App Uninstallation: Uninstalling HisabNote from your device automatically and permanently wipes all stored records, settings, and database boxes.

HisabNote does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because our application does not collect personal data from any user, it complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR regulations regarding minors.
Under global data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play Data Safety guidelines):
Right to Access: You have direct access to all data stored in the app via the home and statistics screens.
Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can erase all data instantly using the “Reset All Data” feature or by uninstalling the application.
Right to Rectification: You can edit any existing transaction record directly inside the app.
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates or regulatory compliance. Any changes will be published here with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
