Welcome to His Creation Taxidermy of Roanoke Rapids, NC. Thank you for coming to my site to view my art. Thank you to all who have trusted me with their trophies. Taxidermy is for providing you with the memory of the hunt as well as preserving the beauty God created them.

I strive to provide quality work on your trophy that will last a lifetime all in a timely manner. I am fully licensed by both Federal and North Carolina.

One problem noticed is the care of the birds, these are your trophies. Take the extra care needed to provide the best specimen for taxidermy that you can. It is best to make sure all feathers are lying flat, try to wipe off blood and as much moisture as you can from the feathers. Wet some paper towels and wrap each foot and around the bill which will help to prevent freezer burn. Lay the birds head on the birds back, place inside a large ziploc bag and squeeze out as much air as you can. Never use pantyhose or wrap birds in paper bags.

As far as animals, please call if you have any questions about freezing.

It is recommended to choose a good specimen, one with good plumage. Birds killed early season sometimes lack good plumage. Wait until later season for a great specimen. Of course, if you shoot a rare bird whether it be early or late season, get it mounted for the rarity and the memories.

When you bring a bird, you will need to provide your hunting license, the date shot, the county and state shot. Also, it is best to provide some pictures of how you want it mounted.
