4. Driver Wallet, Earnings & Subscription

11. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective refunds and clear cancellation rules help maintain trust between customers, drivers, owners, and the platform. Hire 4 Drive follows the policy below; Admin may update exceptions as needed.
A. Customer Cancellations
* Before driver assignment: If a customer cancels before a driver is assigned, a full refund is issued for any pre-paid amount or wallet hold.
* After driver assignment: If cancellation occurs after a driver is assigned, cancellation charges may apply depending on the time and driver’s travel. The charge may be a fixed cancellation fee or a percentage of the estimated fare.
* Late cancellations / No-shows: If a customer is a no-show or cancels after the driver has arrived at the pickup location, the platform may charge a no-show fee to compensate the driver.
B. Driver Cancellations
* If a driver cancels an accepted booking without valid reason, the platform may apply penalties, temporary suspension, or deactivation as per Admin discretion.
* Drivers who cancel due to safety concerns, vehicle breakdown, or emergency should report the reason in the app. Admin may waive penalties after review.
C. Refund Process & Timeline
* Refunds are processed to the original payment method or to the user’s in-app wallet within 3–14 business days, depending on the payment provider.
* Refund eligibility is determined after review by the Admin team based on trip logs, GPS data, driver notes, and communication records.
* For disputes, users may contact support with booking ID, screenshots, or transaction details. The Admin will investigate and communicate the outcome.
D. Partial Refunds & Adjustments
* Partial refunds may be issued in cases of service failure, route changes initiated by driver or platform, or pro-rated adjustments for ride time/distance.
* Any promotional credits applied may be returned to the user’s wallet as per promo terms.
E. Exceptional Cases
The Admin reserves the right to review and handle exceptional cases (e.g., safety incidents, force majeure) on a case-by-case basis.
12. Driver Guidelines & Safety Policy
Hire 4 Drive is committed to the safety of riders, drivers, and the community. All drivers and owners must adhere to the following guidelines and safety practices. Violations may lead to penalties, suspension, or deactivation.
A. Driver Eligibility & Verification
* Drivers must be at least 18+ years old (or meet local legal age requirements).
* Valid government-issued ID, driving license, vehicle registration (RC), and insurance documents must be submitted and verified.
* Drivers must complete any KYC and background checks required by the platform or local regulations.
B. Vehicle Standards & Maintenance
* Vehicles should be clean, roadworthy, and meet local safety and emission standards.
* Insurance and registration documents must be current and available for inspection.
* Drivers should perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
C. Driver Conduct
* Drivers must behave professionally and courteously with all passengers.
* Use of mobile phones for non-navigation purposes while driving is prohibited.
* Any discriminatory, abusive, or illegal behavior will result in immediate suspension and investigation.
D. Safety During Rides
* Drivers must follow traffic laws and safe driving practices at all times.
* Seat belts must be used by drivers and passengers where required by law.
* Drivers should verify passenger identity if requested and confirm pickup details before starting the trip.
* In case of emergencies, drivers must contact local authorities and notify Admin via the app.
E. Handling Customer Complaints & Incidents
* Drivers must report incidents (accidents, disputes, harassment) immediately through the app and provide an accurate account.
* Admin will review incident reports and take action, which may include temporary removal from the platform pending investigation.
F. Prohibited Items & Activities
* Drivers must not transport illegal goods.
* Any form of solicitation, harassment, or exploitation is strictly prohibited.
G. Driver Ratings & Performance
* Driver ratings are used to evaluate performance; consistently low ratings may lead to warnings, retraining requests, suspension, or deactivation.
* Drivers with high ratings may receive platform benefits, priority requests, or promotional opportunities.
H. Safety Features in the App
* Trip sharing for customers to share ride details with family or friends.
* In-app reporting for safety incidents and feedback.
I. Training & Support
* Drivers may be required to undergo onboarding training that covers app usage, customer service, safety protocols, and local regulations.
* Support channels are available to assist drivers with technical issues, disputes, or operational questions.
J. Compliance with Local Laws
Drivers and owners must comply with local transport regulations, licensing, and taxation laws. Compliance is the responsibility of the driver/owner, and the platform may require proof of compliance at any time.
