The goal of HiPstory is to promote hands-on, individualized, project-based learning in Social Studies classrooms across the United States and beyond. If you are a teacher that it looking to explore this in your classroom we invite you to explore the Resource Repository for project ideas, design templates, and other materials.
However, these materials are not a silver bullet. They can get you started, but they can also be overwhelming and create anxiety. This is why we want to connect beginning teachers with mentors that have experience with the HiPstory approach and concepts.
The map below contains mentors who feel this method of teaching is the way to go. They want to encourage, and guide, others into this engaging world for students everywhere. They know that HiPstory promotes critical and historical thinking, inquiry, collaboration, and an ability to analyze the past so students can make sense of the present and future.
