# Privacy Policy for Hindi Compass (हिंदी कम्पास)

This Privacy Policy describes how the **Hindi Compass** mobile application
("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when
you use it. By installing or using the App you agree to the practices described

## 1. Information We Collect
We have designed the App to keep personal data collection to a minimum. We do
**not** require you to create an account, and we do **not** ask for your name,
email address, phone number, or other directly identifying personal details.
### a) Device sensor data
The App reads your device's **accelerometer** and **magnetometer (compass)
sensors** to display the compass heading and Vastu Shastra zones. This sensor
data is processed in real time on your device and is **not stored or
transmitted** by us.
### b) Location data
With your permission, the App accesses your **approximate and precise location**
(`ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION` / `ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`). Location is used to:
- Calculate the local **geomagnetic declination** so the compass points to true
north accurately, and
- Allow our advertising partners to serve relevant ads.
The App uses your location while it is in use. We do not collect background
location. Location used for compass accuracy is processed on your device.
Location may be shared with advertising partners as described in Section 3.
### c) Camera data
With your permission, the App uses your device's **camera** for the
augmented-reality ("AR") live compass and for the photo-capture feature in the
Vastu tools. Camera frames are processed on your device. Photos you choose to
capture are saved to your device storage. We do **not** upload your camera feed
or photos to our servers.
### d) Storage
On older devices (Android 9 / API 28 and below) the App requests storage
permission to save photos you capture. Saved images remain on your device.
### e) Purchase information
If you purchase the **ad-free subscription** (`ad_free_one_year`), the
transaction is handled entirely by **Google Play Billing**. We do not receive or
store your payment card details. We only receive the subscription status needed
to unlock premium features, which is cached locally on your device.
### f) Usage and diagnostic data
The App uses **Google Firebase Analytics** to collect anonymous, aggregated
usage information — such as which buttons and features are used and ad
interactions — to help us improve the App. This data is associated with
device/app identifiers rather than your real-world identity.
### g) Advertising identifiers
The App displays ads through Google AdMob and its mediation partners. These
services may access your device's **Advertising ID** and similar identifiers to
provide and measure advertising. See Section 3.

We use the information described above to:
- Provide core compass and Vastu Shastra functionality;
- Improve compass accuracy using local magnetic declination;
- Enable AR and photo-capture features;
- Display and measure advertisements;
- Provide and restore your ad-free subscription;
- Understand feature usage and improve and maintain the App.

address, approximate location, and ad-interaction data to deliver personalized

The App shows ads to support free features. For users in regions governed by the
EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, the App requests
consent for data processing related to advertising. You can reset your
advertising preferences at any time through your device's Google settings, and
you can remove ads entirely by purchasing the ad-free subscription.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent
minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal

Sensor, camera, and location data used for the App's core features are processed
on your device and not retained on our servers. Analytics and advertising data

- **Permissions:** You can grant or revoke camera, location, and storage
