Himekami Album Collection

Himekami is a Japanese new-age musical group that has been creating lush, pop-influenced music with a mix of traditional Japanese and modern styles since 1980. The group was founded by composer Yoshiaki Hoshi, who changed his performance name to Himekami (which means "princess god" in Japanese) in 1984. The name was inspired by Mount Himekami in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, where Hoshi was born. Hoshi's wife Etsuko and son Yoshiki have also been involved in the group as vocalists and musicians. Hoshi passed away in 2004, but the group has continued to produce music under his son's direction.
