Hill Climb Racing is a 2012 2D physics-based racing video game released by the Finnish studio Fingersoft for Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, and Windows Phone. It was originally created by Toni Fingerroos, Fingersoft's founder, and is the company's best-known product. The player controls a driver across hilly terrains, collecting coins along the way and spending them on vehicular upgrades and on vehicles themselves while being watchful of the driver's head as well as the vehicle's fuel supply.

Another successful tour has come and gone. I traveled most of it and have been so busy I just used the same profile all week. I chose stages 14 and 19. Stage 14 we started flat and fast, then hit some smaller hills. It was a great, fun workout! We took a break before the last song so that we could push hard the last song. The competition in the room was fierce!

Stage 19 was a challenge. The mountain climbs were brutal! I taught it Saturday for the last time and when I taught Sunday none of us could push hard. Even this morning several of us had to go easier than usual on the hills. My glutes are still burning!

The first track is the main theme from Battlelands Royale, which makes for a really strong opening (naturally) with the dynamic build-up and magnificent use of brass, leading to smooth and exciting strings as the song continues. This is followed by a track that became an instant highlight despite being completely unfamiliar: a medley from the 2020 tactical combat game, Iron Danger. The gentle use of strings for the intro melody is deeply enticing, but it is the continuation of this melody and the various ways in which it is used in the medley that really make it shine for its deep and dramatic feel. ff782bc1db
