Introduction to Visualization Tool
As you can see above, the first map that you're able to see is the map of the Near West Side Community Area. It is important to mention that the colors on the map shown above correspond to the total yearly electricity usage in the Near West Side Community Area.
User Data Processing Instructions
To ensure the user would not have to do any previous data processing prior to using this data visualization tool, I have made sure that the data would be processed in sections only when the user requires it. This basically means that the data is being processed in smaller chunks to make sure that there is no processing of data that would ultimately not be used by the user to visualize. Also, the subsets of data that the user would be visualizing would be sufficiently small, which would allow us to process that needed data while making sure the visualization tool is continuously responsive to the user.
Interesting Findings in the Data
It can be observed that the block in this neighborhood with the highest electricity consumption (in the map is colored with yellow) is located in the area of this particular community where the majority of the bars are located, which would make sense since they are open pretty late using electricity.
