We are highlands united methodist church
Our mission is to be intentional about making disciples for Jesus Christ, to nurture believers in the knowledge of God's kingdom, and to be the image of Christ in the Highlands community through acts of mercy, rooted in love.
Our goal is to grow in faith and love in Jesus Christ, to reach out to the community around us, and to transform lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.

weekly worship
Our traditional worship service is every Sunday in the sanctuary at 11:30 AM.
We are a comfortable and welcoming congregation, and we have music and worship together in a very casual environment.
We share communion together on the first Sunday of every month. We practice an open table in The United Methodist Church. This means that anyone and everyone is welcome to have communion when we join together, because we believe the grace of God is available to everyone!

Our regular gatherings are Sunday services at 11:30 am and
Wednesday nights at 5:30 pm (off for the summer).

Spiritual Growth
Through our prayer walk ministry, bible studies with Trinity UMC, and more, we continue to support one another's spiritual growth and encourage new experiences and practices together.
Service
We believe that the grace of God within us pours out of us through our service with one another and for the world. We have a food pantry ministry, a "dry goods" pantry, a free community library, and many other organized opportunities to serve in the greater Lakeland area.

Giving and support
In our membership vows, we promise to support our church with our prayers, presence, service, witness and gifts. If you would like to support our church financially, we have a few ways that you can do that (besides at our Sunday services).
