Highland Hills Family Farm is a family-owned and operated agricultural business dedicated to
producing high-quality, sustainably-raised beef for customers in New York and Northern
Pennsylvania. Founded in 2022 by Derek and Melissa Hill, along with their two sons, Mason and
Colton, the farm has rapidly grown from 26 acres to 116 acres and a 2 cattle operation to a 20
cattle operation in just three years. We have also added layers to the operation, Colton now sells eggs.
Highland Hills Family Farm is built on a foundation of family values and agricultural
knowledge. Derek, an experienced Agriculture Teacher and FFA advisor, brings a wealth of
expertise to the farm, while Melissa’s role as a Social Sales Manager at Cornell University
provides valuable skills in marketing and customer relations. The farm is also a source of hands-on
learning for their two children, who are both involved in their school’s agriculture program and FFA.
Our farm centers around a herd of Lowline Angus cattle, known for their superior meat quality
and efficient grazing patterns. The Hill family is committed to producing beef that not only
meets the highest standards of taste and tenderness, but also supports sustainable farming
practices that preserve the land for future generations. With a strong commitment to quality,
sustainability, and community engagement, Highland Hills Family Farm is well-positioned for
continued growth and success. We hope you and your family give our product a try and support
local, sustainably produced, top quality beef.
