High Five Volleyball Camp allows boys and girls, aged 8-14 to learn the game of volleyball through a fun, well structured learning environment. Instruction is provided by some of Durham’s best teachers and coaches. Whether your child is a beginner or advanced player, High Five will challenge them to improve their volleyball skills and most importantly have fun doing it. Spirit days and Camper of the Day prizes are ways that add to the enjoyment of the week. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and skill level. Campers will take part in competitively matched interleague play, tournaments and camp championships. Campers will be recognized for such things as Spirit, Hustle, Most Improved, and Most Coachable.

Grayson Hefford and Gavin Ruddock are very happy to be continuing High Five’s long tradition of providing high quality instruction to Durham students in a fun environment. Currently, Gavin is Vice Principal at Bolton C Falby P.S. in Whitby and previous to that was a long time Phys Ed teacher at Winchester P.S. where he coached a number of sports at both the junior and intermediate level. Grayson is the Principal at Scott Central P.S. in Uxbridge and previous to that was a Physical Education teacher and then Vice Principal at Dr. Robert Thornton P.S.. Throughout his years at Thornton, he coached many successful volleyball and basketball teams at both the junior and intermediate level winning multiple Durham and Provincial Championships.
We are Durham Region’s longest running and most successful sports day camp, operating out of Brooklin schools during the weeks of July 8th and 15th. We stress the importance of Team Work, Sportsmanship and Spirit to complement the athlete at any level. We offer excellent coaching from Durham teachers/coaches. Individual attention will be offered to each athlete on the basic fundamentals, team strategy and advanced skills.
Competitively matched interleague play, tournaments and camp championships will be sure to test your competitive motivation. The latest in training techniques will be incorporated.
All camps are over 30 hours of instruction and all campers receive a team shirt and personal evaluation. Awards and prizes are distributed on the Friday of the camp week.
