Transitioning from high school to college can be an exciting time. As you graduate from high school and are ready to take the next step on your educational journey, there are a few things to consider to ensure that you have selected the right college for you.
With many colleges available for you to attend, deciding on the right college may seem a little overwhelming. Finding a university that suits both your academic goals and your personal needs is an important step in deciding on which college you decide to pick.
Our mission is to provide information to help guide students living with a disability, and their parents to the correct university by providing information such as what qualifies as a disability, what accomodations you can expect, the challenges you may encounter, how to choose the right school, knowing your rights, and much more.
Take Advantage of Your Resources
All universities are different. Every university will have a different approach to providing accommodations to students. The best way to ensure you are taking advantage of all the resources available to you is to meet with your disability office. You do not need to be a student to speak with your disability office. It is important to find a university that provides the best accommodations for you.
