Strongly encouraged to not arrive earlier than 8:10 due to traffic on Lakeshore Drive.

This location can be accessed via walkway/bridge between football field #12 and Seibert Hall #28 on campus map. There is a parking lot conveniently located next to the walkway/bridge.
Saturday, January 10th
8:45–11:45 AM – Honor Band Rehearsal #4
12:00-12:30pm - T-Shirt Pick-up (location TBA)
12:30-2:00 PM – Lunch "on your own" + Change for Concert
2:15-2:45 PM– Tune/Warm-Up before show
3:00 PM – Concert in Wright Center
Registration Info: Each student involved in the honor band must first be nominated by their band director to participate. After official acceptance each student must complete their "Parent Portal" below, and then get registered online via "Pay Registration Fee" below. Homeschool students should contact pyoung6@samford.edu for separate registration process.
Registration Fee: There is a non-refundable $80 registration fee that must be paid via the "Pay Registration Fee" above, along with completing an online waiver which is also included the above "Parent Portal".
Check-In Information: Check-in will run from 12:30-4:30pm on January 8th. Students should arrived at the Wright Center #7 on the map to get their name badge and other materials needed for the event. Please do not arrive before 12:30pm on January 8th, as the doors will remain locked until the event start time.
Woodwind & Brass Audition Requirements will include the Alabama Allstate materials posted here https://alaband.org/high-school-all-state-requirements/ -- At the audition, students will perform 1) Alabama Allstate Lyrical Exercise ONLY 2) Two major scales called randomly 3) Sight reading

Student Drop Off Information: On Friday morning, all guests need to enter through the Main Gate entrance off Lakeshore Drive (#1 on campus map above) and exit through West Gate (#11 on campus map above). Drivers should use the “drop off zone” outside building #4 on the map, where students can exit their vehicles.
Building Information: Cassese Rehearsal Hall (Band Room) can be easily accessible from the courtyard #5 on campus map. This includes a handicap entrance and exit ramp. Wright Center Lobby and Stage, can be accessed via front entrance, #7 on campus map.
Student Driver & Parking Information: High School Students may park their vehicles anywhere outside the Wright Center #7 on map during the event. For the afternoon concert on January 10th, parent’s may park anywhere near the Wright Center (labeled #7 on campus map) for the performance.
Dress: Students should follow their school’s standard uniform procedure for the concert. Recommended concert attire includes a suit jacket, button-down shirt, long dress, or nice blouse for tops. Appropriate bottoms include dress pants, slacks, or a long skirt, paired with black socks or stockings. Footwear should consist of black dress shoes, flats, or low-heeled shoes.
