We have had multiple false? red alerts now on different days. After the first time we put an owlet sock on our baby as well as the breathing band. Red alert just came up again last night but the owlet showed nothing wrong. Can you provide insight into this matter?

I have found various examples on how to configure the message json for push notifcations on firebase for android and ios. But I have a problem, that not all push messages arrives to my client apps. I have noticed that on different android versions it work in a different way. Some of them, doesn't receive any message, some of them without the configured ringtone, some of them only with the default ringtone and some works fine. On client side I think every thing should be fine. I'am using xamarin forms for that. My message json looks like this. I have read now that I should remove the notification tag but it works then for older androids?

As far as I know, setting "priority": "high" is the only thing you can do to make sure the notifications deliver immediately. If they still can't receive anything, it's probably something on the client's side.

For the ringtone, supposedly, "sound": "WHATEVER" is the supposed to specify the sound, but again, because of the different OEMs and system variations, it could be more consistent to just send a data message and push out the notification yourself upon receiving, but you should know that even that probably won't guarantee either deliver or ringtone.

SNOOZE ALERT BEFORE IT FIRES will allow you to avoid the alert to trigger, for example if you already treated an expected low or a high and know BG will move anyway you can avoid to hear the alarm for the time you want.

Smart snoozing and alerting avoid the alert to trigger or re-raise if BG is going in the right direction (upwards for low alerts and downwards for highs). The threshold for acknowledging a sufficient change in the right direction is 4mg/dl in 5 minutes.

Level alerts remain active even if there is no signal (sensor change for example, or follower without network). This option allows you to suppress them. Make sure you have a missed alert enabled if you use this feature.

When relying on xDrip+ to alert you for lows and highs, it is essential to make sure that it is actually receiving BG readings. For this, if you don't have any other alarms enable this feature for your safety.

Instead of a high alert that will trigger as soon as BG reaches the trigger value, you can setup a persistent high alert that will only trigger when BG remains above the setup value for more than a certain time.

I think I may have figured this out. My pagerduty is installed in a work profile. So I had to install it in the my regular profile. (you dont need to set it up or anything on the personal profile.). Once I do that, I go to the work profile pagerduty and then I can enable high-urgency override which makes this all work.

I have 5.93 (8282) on Android 10, and this has not fixed the issue. I have to have my sound on for the page to alert, which defeats the entire point of having a pager. I get woken up constantly at night by alerts for other things since I have to have my sound enabled. Since this is really the main functionality of this app, allowing people to get paged at all hours of the day and night, can we please get it prioritized urgently to be fixed?

As has been said by others, this isnt a DnD issue but a volume override issue. With the override setting enabled in the PD app, permissions for override enabled on my galaxy s9, DnD disabled on my phone and my phones volume for notifications turned off all incoming alerts from PD do NOT override volume.

The sound of the ringer (incoming phone calls) and the sound of alerts (notification sounds and alarm sounds) are not separated. This is a problem for people who actually use their iphone as an alarm in the morning. To get around this, we would have to turn the volume down every night, and remember to turn it up every morning. One mishap in this annoying daily routine will cause us to miss very important calls/notifications (because the volume was set to quiet), or cause people to wake up to a blaring loud alarm noise in the morning (because the volume was set to loud).

WTF Apple?? Why can't I have a loud alarm in the morning and a medium volume ringtone throughout the day? I would very much prefer setting a volume preference for both of these things, and the only workaround is activating the setting where you have all volumes adjusted by the volume rocker, but again, I want an unchanging volume for these two things.

The alert tone, interval, and number of repeats dictate the sound that plays, how frequently the sound plays, and how many times the sound is repeated when an incoming Spok Mobile message is received on your device.

When a message is received in the Spok Mobile application, different alert tones play based on where you are in the application and what type of message is received. If you receive an alert message, the configured alert tones are used. If you receive a chat message, the following are true:

Enable the Vibrate When Alerting option if you would like the device to vibrate when a Spok Mobile message is received on your device. When this option is enabled, a check mark displays in the box next to the option and the configured alert tone plays and the device vibrates when a Spok Mobile message is received.

In the Number of Repeats field, choose the desired number of times that you would like the alert tone to sound. For example, if the 9 option is chosen, the device repeats the alert tone nine times after a Spok Mobile message is received.

The xMatters app for iOS and Android allows you to customize how you receive notifications from xMatters. For example, you can play a custom sound for a specific alert priority, allow high priority alerts to override your device's Do Not Disturb settings, or have medium and high priority alert notifications repeat if you don't respond to them right away.

Push notifications are automated pop-up alerts that you receive when an application is not open on your device. Push notifications from the xMatters app display the subject line of an incoming notification sent to your xMatters Inbox. You must enable push notifications for the xMatters app before you can customize your notification settings.

Once you enable push notifications for the Android app, you'll have the option to disable push notifications for different priority levels (if, for example, you do not want to receive push notifications for low priority alerts).

On iOS devices, you can use the Critical Alerts feature to override your device's Do Not Disturb settings for high priority alerts. On Android devices, you have the option to override Do Not Disturb for each notification category (high, medium, or low priority alerts).

For high priority alert notifications on iOS and Android, you can choose if you want the app to override your system volume preferences. For example, if you want your high priority xMatters notifications to play a sound even when your device is muted, or to play a loud sound when your device volume is set to low.

The xMatters mobile app includes a selection of high impact custom sounds (more easily heard in noisy environments) that you can use for low, medium, and high priority alert notifications. On Android, you also have the option to use any sound file on your device for your notifications.

The xMatters mobile app includes the ability to run tests to confirm you can receive notifications for low, medium, and high priority alerts. This is useful if you run into notification issues while using the app, or if you want to check how a notification for a specific priority level will appear and sound when delivered to your device.

Confirms the device's Do Not Disturb override setting is enabled for selected alert priority. If disabled, notifications for the selected alert priority level will be silenced when your device is in Do Not Disturb mode.

To enable sound for your PagerDuty notifications, you will need to assign a ringtone to both High and Low Urgency notifications. By default, low urgency notifications will be silent. With the notification sounds set and no other settings enabled, the PagerDuty notifications will also be muted when your phone is set to Do Not Disturb or when your volume is muted.

I don't know when this issue started because I usually have it on vibrate/silent, but last night I put my phone on normal mode with the ringer set to 100% and yet when someone called me at 3am because they were in a car accident I couldn't hear it. They called me 10 times but my phone barely made a whisper. I can hear the ringtone but it sounds like its at 5% not 100%. It doesn't matter if I set it to 90 or 100, but the ringtone is very quiet.

@freeman93: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue. Please try heading to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume, and make sure that the Ringtone slider is at a suitable level. Now, head to the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call alert and ringtone > Vibrate while ringing > On. The vibration against a flat surface can be quite loud, and can help to alert you to any incoming calls if you're asleep.

Critical notifications were introduced in iOS 12 and are designed for sending high-priority notifications that you don't want to miss - for example security system, water leak sensor, and smoke/CO2 alarm alerts.

iOS gives special priority to this type of notification. Critical alerts always appear at the top of your lock screen above all other notifications, and play a sound even if Do Not Disturb is enabled or the iPhone is muted. Because we never want you to miss a critical notification, they are allowed to bypass the app notification rate limits as well.

The war between teens and authority figures has a new -- or old -- front: ears. British shopkeepers tired of teenage loiterers have turned to the Mosquito teen repellent, which emits a high-pitch frequency that most teenagers can hear -- but not most adults. e24fc04721
