Hieu Thanh Nguyen
(In Vietnamese: Nguyễn Thanh Hiếu )
Welcome to my homepage! I'm a graduate student working in the Department of Mathematics at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
My research is interested in mathematical problems arising from applications in other sciences, such as biology, invasion ecology, and chemical reaction theory. Currently, I study regularity theory for elliptic problems, specifically functionals of linear growth, which are posed on BV-based spaces (such as BD).
I love walking, biking, and hiking. These activities are enjoyable and also provide great opportunities for socializing. Sometimes, I enjoy hanging out with friends at coffee shops, talking about mathematics.
