Hieu Thanh Nguyen

Welcome to my homepage! I'm a graduate student working in the Department of Mathematics at the  University of Wisconsin-Madison.  My advisor is Professor Jean-Luc Thiffeault.  

My research interests are in pure and applied aspects of partial differential equations and fluid mechanics.

I’m a big fan of running and watching football. I have spent the last two years in Madison teaching Vietnamese language skills to English-speaking students and familiarizing them with Vietnamese culture. I also enjoy spending time with friends, and exploring all the different restaurants and coffee shops that Madison has to offer. I love all things mathematics and getting to know my peers outside of class.
