If you want a secure, space-saving wall mount to protect your gaming headsets from spills and accidents while keeping them organized near your desk, choose HIDEit Mounts Uni-H Universal Headset; if you need a wired, PlayStation-licensed headset with positional audio and in-line controls for immersive gaming on PS4 or PS5, choose Bigben Nacon V3. These two products serve fundamentally different roles in a gamer's setup, and comparing them requires looking past the surface to understand exactly who each is built for. One is a piece of durable infrastructure designed to hold your gear, while the other is the actual gear itself. Trying to force a choice between them usually means you are asking the wrong question, but if you are standing in an aisle or scrolling through options trying to finalize one specific purchase for a motorcycle setup or a home station, the distinction is critical.
• HIDEit Mounts Uni-H: Its biggest strength is the robust 16-gauge cold-rolled steel construction that protects your expensive headsets from accidental damage, while its trade-off is that it offers no audio features, serving purely as a storage solution.
• Bigben Nacon V3: Its biggest strength is the official PlayStation licensing and integrated 40mm drivers that deliver Tempest 3D Audio, while its trade-off is the wired connectivity which limits mobility compared to wireless alternatives.
• The HIDEit pick is for the collector or messy gamer who needs a permanent, safe home for their gear.
• The Bigben pick is for the console player who prioritizes licensed audio performance and direct controller integration over wireless freedom.
The HIDEit Mounts Uni-H is not a headphone; it is a dedicated mounting system designed to solve the clutter problem that plagues most gaming desks. If you have ever watched a child knock a $200 headset off a table, spilled a drink on your headphones, or simply run out of desk space because your headset is sitting on top of your monitor, this product addresses those pain points directly. The core value here lies in its material composition. It is constructed from 16-gauge, cold-rolled steel, a specification that screams durability. This isn't flimsy plastic or thin wire; it is heavy-duty metal designed to withstand the rigors of a busy household. The powder-coat finish adds another layer of utility, ensuring the mount won't rust in humid environments and protecting the headband of your headset from scratches during installation or removal.
This product shines for anyone who values organization and safety above all else. The universal design is engineered to accommodate a massive range of headwear, from Beats and Bose to Corsair, Razer, and even VR headsets like the Oculus Quest 2 or PlayStation VR. The flexibility extends beyond just electronics; the curved cradle can also hold sports helmets and hats, making it a versatile organizational hub for any room. For a motorcyclist who keeps their riding helmet and headset together, or a gamer who swaps between a VR rig and standard gaming cans, the ability to swap items without needing multiple mounts is a significant convenience factor. The installation process is straightforward, requiring no complicated templates or drilling into studs, though stud mounting is optional if you want maximum security. The included drywall anchors are rated for 25 pounds each, providing confidence that your equipment will stay put once mounted next to your desk or gaming station.

However, there are clear reasons to skip this product if you are looking for audio capabilities. It has no speakers, no microphone, and no battery life to speak of. It is strictly a passive accessory. If you are shopping for "long battery life headphones for motorcycle" or searching for "bluetooth headphones for motorcycle," this item will not help you. It does not generate sound. Furthermore, while it is lightweight, it is not water-resistant. If you live in a very damp environment or plan to use it in a setting where moisture is a constant threat without climate control, the lack of a specific water resistance rating might be a concern, though the powder coating helps against minor splashes. You must already own a headset to utilize this mount; it is an add-on, not a standalone solution.
The Bigben Nacon V3 enters the conversation as a fully functional, wired gaming headset officially licensed by Sony for the PlayStation ecosystem. Unlike the mount, this is the device you wear to hear your game. It is designed specifically for players who demand high-fidelity audio and seamless integration with their PS4 or PS5 controllers. The heart of this headset is the 40-millimeter driver, which handles mid-range frequencies to deliver what Sony calls Tempest 3D Audio. For competitive gamers, the inclusion of a positionable microphone is crucial, allowing for clear communication with teammates without the frustration of static or poor directionality. The ear cups feature foam cushions wrapped in faux leather, providing comfort for extended sessions and a premium feel that matches the black aesthetic of modern consoles.
This headset is the ideal choice for someone who wants a plug-and-play experience without the hassle of pairing dongles or managing charging cycles. The connectivity is handled via a standard 3.5mm jack with a 4-pin audio plug, which ensures compatibility with PC and other audio sources, though the primary optimization is for the PlayStation controllers. The in-line controls are a standout feature for practical use; having volume adjustment and microphone mute right on the cable means you don't need to pause your game to dig into menus. For a rider who uses a headset for intercom or music on long rides, the wired nature provides consistent power and zero latency, though it ties you to the source device. The adjustable headband accommodates various head sizes, and the over-ear placement ensures good noise isolation, which is vital for focusing on audio cues in games or traffic sounds while riding.
The trade-offs become apparent when you consider mobility and versatility. Because it is wired, you cannot move freely around your room or bike without being tethered to the controller or audio source. If you are looking for "rotatable ear cups wireless headphones for motorcycle," this product does not meet the wireless requirement, nor do the ear cups rotate independently of the headband structure in the way some specialized travel headsets do. Additionally, while it works on PC and Mac, those platforms are not tested or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, meaning you might miss out on the full 3D audio benefits outside the PlayStation ecosystem. The warranty covers two years, offering peace of mind, but the lack of Bluetooth means you cannot easily pair with non-gaming devices like phones for calls unless you have a specific adapter. It is a purpose-built tool for console gaming, not a general-purpose audio device.

In my opinion, the decision comes down to whether you are buying a home for your gear or the gear itself. I would buy the HIDEit Mounts Uni-H Universal Headset if I am building a clean, professional-looking gaming station and already own high-quality headphones that I want to protect. It is an essential piece of infrastructure that prevents costly accidents. However, if I am looking for a reliable pair of bluetooth headphones for motorcycle or a solid gaming headset for my PS5, I would choose the Bigben Nacon V3. For a motorcycle context specifically, the wired nature of the Bigben makes it less ideal for long rides where wireless freedom is preferred, but the HIDEit mount is irrelevant unless you are storing a helmet or headset on the bike's dashboard. Ultimately, if you need to store your gear safely, get the HIDEit. If you need to hear the game clearly, get the Bigben. They solve different problems, but the HIDEit mount offers the best long-term value for keeping your entire collection intact.

No, the Bigben Nacon V3 is a wired headset that connects via a 3.5mm jack. It does not offer Bluetooth or wireless connectivity, so it is not suitable for riders who need untethered movement or long battery life.
Absolutely. The mount is made from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel and includes anchors rated for 25 pounds, making it strong enough to securely hold heavy VR headsets and gaming cans without bending.
