What is a 24 hour playfest??? Well, it's just what it sounds like. It's a festival of short plays written, rehearsed and performed in 24 hours. Since we will be doing this remotely and will be filming, we will be spreading out the hours over the course of a few meetings.
SIGNUPS via Forms begin on MONDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH!! Signups close by THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24TH at 3pm.
Each play needs 5-6 people at least!
1 Director
1 Assistant Director/Editor (this person will help the director throughout and Ms CB organize and edit the video clips to make them ready for premiere)
At least 2 actors
A team of writers, at least 2
All plays must adhere to HHS rules and must be submitted to Ms CB.
When you sign up, you will each contribute a theme for the writers! Writers will randomly choose the theme for their play. They have the option to switch their theme, again randomly choosing, but only once!
Each play must include the same 1 line in their dialogue. Line will be contributed by Ms CB or a volunteer of her choosing.
An example, "Whatever is that pineapple doing on the table?" This line must be integrated into your play and spoken aloud. This is a fun challenge! Each play would have a different reason for a pineapple to be in their show and a different answer to the question.
Schedule
Thursday October 1: Rehearsals
Friday October 2: Filming
All clips must be uploaded immediately and make sure the editors have access!
Monday October 5th- Wednesday October 7th: Editing. All versions must be sent to Ms CB for final edit by Thursday at 3pm.
Friday October 9th: Premiere!
