Homes Fur Hounds is a foster home based dog rescue. We do not have a shelter or a facility to house animals. We can only save lives when people open up their homes and hearts to dogs in need. When we take a dog into Homes Fur Hounds, that also opens up a space in a shelter to save another life. To date, we have rescued over 900 dogs!

Fostering is important because it helps prepare animals for adoption by giving them a chance to live in a home where they can fully express their personality, work to overcome fears or recover from trauma, socialize, and learn some new behaviors. By opening up your home to foster, you're not only helping to save lives, you're providing the individual attention and love these dogs so desperately need. All of these things are vital for a successful transition into a new furever home.

Share Your Time, Donate, and Educate
Share your Time and Talent: Time is valuable - do you have some to spare? You can volunteer your time by attending events, transporting animals, finding opportunities or using your talents to fundraise, show off your sewing talent by making items for the dogs (bandanas, collar bows, belly bands, blankets), photographing the dogs, etc.
Donate: If you have some extra funds, you can donate to the organization at any time. It is tax deductible. Just visit our website.
Educate: Tell others about our organization and the value of rescuing. Educate yourself and others on myths about rescued dogs. Follow us on Facebook too!
