Housing Families First gives families facing homelessness the opportunity to build a legacy for their families by providing a path to a permanent home. Your fundraising efforts will help us to ensure that all families in the Richmond area have a safe place to call home, and we are grateful for your support! By raising funds for HFF, you are making a positive difference in the lives of the families we serve.

The most impactful way you can help the families in HFF programs at this point in time is to help us raise funds for our Capital Campaign: Opening Doors for Families. Our Opening Doors for Families campaign aims to raise $4,400,000 by the end of 2022 to expand our services and improve our campus, so that even more families facing homelessness can secure and sustain permanent housing.

Your generous donations will help Housing Families First provide:

  • Housing services for 300 more children and adults each year

  • Emergency shelter for up to 50 more families each year

  • 10 additional beds in private room settings

  • 1 additional fully handicapped-accessible bedroom/bathroom suite

  • Expansion of our current housing programs and partnerships

  • Improved family-friendly communal areas

  • Upgrades to our roofing, insulation, flooring, and HVAC systems

  • Improved activity areas for children

  • Additional space for volunteer activities and community resources

  • More parking spaces for our residents and volunteers
