Language Goals based on ACTFL Standards

Students will be able to independently use their learning to:

1. Communicate ideas effectively in writing to a variety of audiences while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and understanding.

2. Communicate ideas effectively in discourse to a variety of audiences, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and understanding while emulating native speakers.

3. Read, interpret and synthesize information from a variety of authentic texts.

4. View, listen, interpret and synthesize information from a variety of authentic media sources.

5. Demonstrate intercultural competence by interacting in the language while making meaningful cultural comparisons and connections.
