Epic Heroes Fight Bias: Hey why are you wearing headphones that aren’t plugged into anything? And what’s with your hand? Girl responds, oh I’m autistic. Boy responds, but you don’t look autistic. Girl responds, actually, there’s no way to look autistic, it’s a spectrum. It’s different for everyone. I use the headphones to help with sound sensitivity. And the flapping is called stimming, it helps me calm down. Oh, thanks for telling me: I’m comfortable talking about myself and want others to be too.
