If you want a durable, custom-fitted protective shell specifically designed to shield your iClever HS19 or BTH12 headphones from travel damage, choose Hermitshell Hard Travel Case; if you need active wireless audio gear with multi-hour battery life and secure fit for intense workouts or DJ monitoring on the go, choose JLab.
These two products solve completely different problems, yet I see them often compared because both target creators and enthusiasts who demand reliability. The Hermitshell option is a passive accessory built solely for storage and impact resistance, while the JLab Go Sport+ is an active electronic device engineered for high-performance audio delivery during movement. One is a shield, the other is a source. Understanding this distinction is the only way to make a smart purchase without wasting money on the wrong tool for your setup.
• Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: Its biggest strength is its rugged EVA construction designed to prevent dents and scratches for specific iClever models; its trade-off is that it contains no electronics, offering zero sound quality or battery power of its own. This pick is for someone who already owns compatible headphones and needs a secure carrier for transport.
• JLab Go Sport+: Its biggest strength is the massive 35+ hour total battery life combined with IP55 sweat resistance and a secure ergonomic earhook design; its trade-off is that it is a standalone audio device requiring charging and cannot function as a simple carrying case. This pick is for anyone needing reliable wireless audio for fitness, commuting, or mobile DJing without tangled wires.
The Hermitshell Hard Travel Case exists to solve a very specific physical problem: protecting fragile electronics during transit. It is constructed from EVA material, which provides a rigid yet shock-absorbent exterior that shields your headphones from bumps, dents, and scratches. The design features a compact footprint with a top handle, making it easy to toss into a larger bag or carry by hand. The interior is lined with nylon to prevent internal abrasion, ensuring your device stays pristine even when jostled in a crowded backpack or checked luggage.
This product is strictly a container. It does not generate sound, connect to Bluetooth, or charge batteries. It is manufactured to fit the exact dimensions of the iClever HS19 and iClever BTH12 Kids Headphones. If you are a DJ traveling with these specific units between gigs, or a parent sending a child with headphones to school, this case offers peace of mind that the device will arrive intact. The single-compartment layout keeps everything together, though you must remember to pack any cables separately since the case is sold empty.

You should buy this if you have the compatible headphones and prioritize physical safety over convenience features like wireless connectivity. However, you should skip this entirely if you do not own the specific iClever models mentioned in the specifications. The case is not universal; trying to force incompatible headphones inside could result in poor protection or a tight fit that damages the casing. It is a specialized accessory, not a general-purpose solution.
The JLab Go Sport+ is built for performance and endurance. These true wireless earbuds are designed to stay locked in place during high-intensity activities thanks to their ergonomic earhook design. This shape ensures they remain secure even during runs, HIIT workouts, or when moving around a DJ booth. The IP55 rating means they can withstand sweat, dust, and light splashes, making them suitable for outdoor training or humid environments where standard earbuds might fail.
Battery life is where this unit truly shines. Each earbud delivers over nine hours of continuous playtime on a single charge, and the included charging case adds another 26+ hours, totaling more than 35 hours of use. The case itself features a built-in USB cable, eliminating the need to hunt for a separate charging cord. You can even get an hour of playtime from just ten minutes of quick charging. For a DJ working long sets or a commuter with a full day ahead, this longevity removes the anxiety of running out of power mid-session.
Audio customization is handled through the JLab App, allowing you to switch between EQ modes like JLab Signature, Balanced, or Bass Boost. The C3 Clear Calling system uses dual MEMS microphones to isolate your voice from background noise, which is crucial for taking calls between tracks or communicating with team members. With multipoint Bluetooth, you can pair two devices simultaneously, such as a phone and a laptop, switching seamlessly between them. This product is ideal for those who need a robust, all-in-one audio solution that doubles as a workout companion and a professional monitoring tool.

In my opinion, the choice depends entirely on whether you are looking to protect what you already own or acquire a new audio experience. If your goal is to transport your current headphones safely to a gig, the Hermitshell Hard Travel Case is the logical, necessary addition to your kit. However, if you are looking for the best headset for dj work that offers wireless freedom, massive battery life, and a secure fit for moving around, the JLab Go Sport+ is the superior choice. I would personally recommend the JLab unit for most modern DJs because the ability to move freely with high-quality audio and a battery that lasts through multiple sets is a game-changer for live performance. The Hermitshell case is excellent, but it is merely an accessory; the JLab earbuds are the primary tool.
