Hermes Agent is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you and only you.

01  ·  OVERVIEW & COMMITMENT

Overview & Commitment

Hermes Agent (“Hermes,” “we,” “our”) is developed by gammacreationsllc@gmail.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the Hermes Agent iOS application.

The core commitment: Hermes is self-hosted software. Your memory vault, conversation logs, messaging credentials, and AI interactions live on your own server infrastructure not on our servers. We have no visibility into your Hermes data.

By using Hermes Agent, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

02  ·  DATA WE COLLECT

Data We Collect

We collects a minimal set of data necessary to operate the iOS app and manage subscriptions:

• Account & subscription data — Subscription status, purchase receipts, and entitlement information processed through Apple's StoreKit framework. We does not have access to your Apple ID or payment information.

• Crash reports — If you have opted in to share crash reports with developers via iOS Settings, anonymized crash logs may be shared with us through Apple's crash reporting infrastructure.

• Support communications — If you contact us via email or through the in-app support link, we collect the information you voluntarily provide (email address, message content) solely to respond to your query.

That is the complete list. We do not collect analytics, behavioral data, device identifiers, or any AI conversation data.

03  ·  DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

Data We Do Not Collect

We does not collect, receive, store, or have access to any of the following:

• Your Hermes memory vault contents (facts, notes, documents)

• Your AI conversations or Oracle chat history

• Your messaging platform credentials or tokens (Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, Email)

• Messages sent or received through messaging platform integrations

• Your name, email address (unless you contact support), or profile information

• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprinting data

• Location data

• Usage analytics or behavioural tracking

• Any data processed by your configured AI model backend

04  ·  YOUR SERVER, YOUR DATA

Your Server, Your Data

Hermes Agent is a client application that connects to a Hermes instance you deploy on your own infrastructure. All substantive data — memory vault, skills library, conversation history, platform integrations, AI model responses — is stored and processed on your server.

Hosting options include:

• Cloud VPS — A virtual private server you control (e.g. DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr)

• Local machine — Running Hermes on your own computer

• Private server — Your own dedicated hardware

• Managed hosting — A third-party managed Hermes hosting provider (governed by that provider's privacy policy)

You are responsible for the security and privacy practices of the server infrastructure on which you deploy Hermes. We strongly recommend using HTTPS, keeping your server software updated, and following the security guidelines in the Hermes documentation.

05  ·  MESSAGING PLATFORM INTEGRATIONS

Messaging Platform Integrations

Hermes can connect to messaging platforms (Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, Email) to deliver messages on your behalf. When you set up these integrations:

• Credentials (bot tokens, API keys, OAuth tokens) are entered in the iOS app and transmitted directly to your Hermes server over HTTPS. They are never sent to us.

• Messages sent and received through these integrations are processed by your Hermes server and by the respective messaging platform, subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies.

• You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of each messaging platform you connect.

06  ·  SUBSCRIPTIONS & PAYMENTS

Subscriptions & Payments

Hermes Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). We does not collect, process, or store payment card information, billing addresses, or bank account details.

Apple processes your payment and communicates subscription status to our app via signed receipts. We use these receipts only to unlock Pro features in the app. For information on how Apple handles your payment data, refer to the Apple Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy).

Subscription management (cancellation, renewal, billing cycle changes) is handled through your Apple ID in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

07  ·  MEMORY VAULT

Memory Vault

The Memory Vault is Hermes' core feature — a structured database of facts, preferences, and knowledge that Hermes accumulates over time. This data is stored exclusively on your Hermes server. We have no access to, visibility into, or copies of your memory vault.

You can delete all memory vault data at any time from the Compass screen within the app (Settings > Clear all memories). This action is permanent and irreversible.

08  ·  ANALYTICS & TELEMETRY

Analytics & Telemetry

Hermes Agent does not include any analytics SDKs, behavioural tracking libraries, or telemetry systems. We do not use third-party analytics services such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.

Hermes is open-source software (MIT licence). You can inspect the source code to verify this commitment at any time.

09  ·  THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Third-Party Services

The Hermes iOS app itself uses the following system frameworks provided by Apple, which are subject to Apple's privacy policy:

• StoreKit — for subscription management and in-app purchases

• URLSession — for networking with your Hermes server

• UserNotifications — for local notifications (not remote push)

Your Hermes server may connect to third-party AI providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) depending on which AI backend you configure. Those interactions are governed by the respective provider's privacy policy and your agreement with them. We have no relationship with or responsibility for those providers in the context of your Hermes instance.

10  ·  CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Children's Privacy

Hermes Agent is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to delete it.

11  ·  YOUR RIGHTS

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Since we hold minimal data about you, most of these rights are best exercised directly on your Hermes server, which you control.

For data we do hold (support communications, crash reports):

• Access — You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you

• Deletion — You may request deletion of your support communication data

• Correction — You may request correction of inaccurate data

12  ·  CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through a notice in the App Store release notes or within the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Continued use of Hermes Agent after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
