I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, University of São Paulo (IME-USP). I received my Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin under the supervision of Felipe Voloch.
My research interests include number theory, algebraic geometry—particularly algebraic curves over finite fields—finite geometry, and applications to coding theory.
