Argoshift ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Heorti: Birthday Facts mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
Heorti: Birthday Facts is built as a privacy-first utility application. We do not collect, store, or share any personal identification information (PII) on external servers.
Any personal data you provide—such as a first name, relationship type, or date of birth—is processed and stored strictly locally on your device using a secure sandbox environment (Room Database and DataStore). We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to us or any third party.
To deliver its features, historical frises, and time-capsule locking mechanisms, Heorti requires the following system permissions and network accesses:
Network Access (Internet): Required to fetch historical facts, celebrity births, deaths, and holidays from the public, free Wikimedia API. When the app queries this data, it only sends the generic day and month (e.g., "October 14"). No personal profile information, years of birth, or user names are ever attached to these network requests. This access is also utilized to display advertisements via Google AdMob.
Post Notifications: Used exclusively to schedule and deliver local notifications on your device, such as daily birthday reminders and alerts notifying you when your time-capsule note is unlocked. These notifications are handled entirely by the Android operating system's local alarm system and do not use remote push servers.
We may employ third-party companies to facilitate our Service, optimize ad delivery, or analyze basic usage. These third parties only handle non-identifiable data (such as the Android Advertising ID) to provide personalized ads and essential services.

We prioritize the absolute security of your thoughts and personal records. The text notes you create inside the time-capsule feature ("The Vault") are secured using industry-standard AES/GCM encryption via the Android KeyStore. This cryptographic protection ensures your notes are completely unreadable to other apps on the device and remain safely isolated within your local database.
Because we do not use cloud databases or remote servers, you are in total control of your local data storage.
Heorti is a 100% free application supported by ad monetization. We do not facilitate any in-app financial transactions, and therefore we do not collect, process, or store any credit card, bank account, or billing information.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Since all profile dates and names remain sandboxed on the physical device, parents retain full oversight over the local data entered into the application. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concerns regarding data on your child's device, please contact us.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect code updates or platform requirements. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective immediately when they are posted.
