HENLEY SPIRIT WEAR ORDERS ARRIVED!
Henley Families, Spirit Gear has arrived! We will call students to the front office to pick up their Henley gear next week beginning Wednesday, November 6. If your spirit gear was a gift or surprise, please notify me immediately at shiggins0428@gmail.com, or thru messenger, and we will pull your gear for parent pick up. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Our Robotics Club efforts has a Donor's Choose Project hosting by Mrs. Ackerman and is only $677 short to fund the program!! If she doesn't get the total funding by January 2025, she loses the $2k already donated.
Other County middle schools have this Future Lego League (FLL) Robotics club, with hopes of a district wide competition this spring. Let's get this project funded and offer this for years to come!
PaTSO Leadership Needed
You may have noticed little communication from your PaTSO at the start of this school year. While many of our community have reached out to lend a hand for roles and committees, we are in desperate need of an Executive Council & Fundraising Chairs to ensure the longevity and success of our program. PaTSO supports social events, academic enrichment, teacher support and much more! With your participation we can strengthen this organization. 2024 BUZZ BUCKS CAMPAIGN: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Each fall is the Henley PaTSO fundraiser that supports student, school and teacher needs for the upcoming school year. We rely on local businesses and our community for their generosity.

NOTES FROM THE FRONT OFFICE ABOUT ABSENCES, EARLY DISMISSAL, TARDIES & MORE!
Early check out:
1. Send a note with your child listing name, time, and reason.
2. Your child gives the note to the main office upon arrival to school and will be issued a dismissal pass to show to the teacher.
3. Your child goes to the office at pick up time and then proceeds to the parent vehicle. (Parent stays in the vehicle.)
Unscheduled early check out: (Emergencies only, please, and not within 30 minutes of dismissal.)
Parent enters the school office and presents a photo ID. A student will only be released to a person on the emergency contact list. Please be patient and allow for the time it takes to locate a student at recess, gym, or lunch and to process parent ID through ScholarChip Visitor Management System.
Absences and Tardies:
Call 434-823-4393 option 2 by 9:30 am and leave a voicemail message with your child’s name, grade, date, and reason for absence.
Walking home:
Students may walk home after dismissal but they may not leave the school campus during the school day.
Change in after school plans:
It is not necessary to notify the main office when your child has a change of normal after school plans such as if a bus rider will walk home instead.
If you need to get a message to your student regarding a change of dismissal plans please notify the office by 2:20 pm.
Please have an inclement weather plan in place with your child.
