My personal recommendation to find the correct work for yourself:
1) Take the Strong Interest Inventory - this test shows your interests.
2) Take the Myers-Briggs personality test - find a job that matches your personality -ex. a personality that fits a prison guard probably isn't a good personality for a nurse.
3) Take the ASVAB military entrance exam or civilian version of the test. This test shows your Aptitudes. Interest and Passion for a particular work isn't enough to be successful at it. Ex. I once had a teacher that had the strongest interest and passion for baseball of anyone I have ever seen. He didn't have the talent though so he is a school teacher (and perhaps coaches baseball on the side).
4) Choose work that you have a Strong Interest in, Personality Fit for, Aptitude for and the work is in Demand. Ex: you probably don't want to pursue work as a pay phone repair person nor a typewritter fixer. You can determine demand for a career at your local Employment Security Commission office. "Too Good to Go" Smart Phone App:
Local restaurants and gas stations will offer up food that they don't want to go to waste and you can purchase it for very cheap. You sign up and can choose your location. They call them "grab bags" and you don't get to choose what you get, but this is a great option if you are food insecure and need something hot for little money. You can also choose the option to let a friend pick up for you if you don't have transportation!
Tonight, I picked up a "grab bag" from Ruckus near me. I got 2 giant slices of NY style cheese pizza, a couple of mozzarella sticks, and a couple garlic knots for $6.
