Pay no mind to this short dad video (1:56)

EMAIL the library board and thank them for their work getting the smut out of the kids section. We believe they are going to continue to be pressured by those who want kids to be exposed to this material. Let the board know that the citizens of this county are PAYING ATTENTION.
EMAIL or CALL the Huntsville City Council, Madison City Council, and Madison County Commission, and thank them for any roll they played in the library board's decision. They don’t have direct control over the library board, but they appoint the members, so they have some influence.
SHOW UP at city council, county commission, and library board meetings. You don’t have to speak. Simply clap and show your support for the ones who do speak out against this.
SPEAK at these meetings. They give you three minutes, and you can simply stand up at the podium and read pre-prepared remarks.
February 22, 2025 - Emailed questions and answers to library board.
October 29, 2024 - Members of our group continue to check the location of inappropriate books that were formerly in the kids section, utilizing the library's online card catalogue. Every book that we check is now showing available ONLY in electronic form, with no physical copy being listed.
September 24, 2024 - Concerned citizens showed up at the library board meeting prepared to continue our appeals to the board, but before our turn to speak, the board announced that it was complying with Governor Ivey's policy. This was a wonderful surprise, as the board hadn't shown any intention of moving obscene material out of the kids section up to this point.

Sexualizing kids before they’re ready hurts them.
A child's parents know better than book publishers or activists what their child is ready to be exposed to.
The kids' section of our libraries should be safe spaces where kids can be kids.
Many families don't have the resources to police everything their kids are exposed to in the library.
Libraries have a RESPONSIBILITY to make sure explicit material is kept out of the kids' section.
We DON'T believe in book-banning. We're asking that these books be MOVED from the kids' section to the adult section, not BANNED.
We DON'T believe in censoring free speech. BOTH sides of this debate have the right to be heard.
