Familiarize yourself with the Hello Howard Community Rules, Responsibilities, and Guidelines. We are a community garden and thrive to keep the garden a happy, secure, and enjoyable place where all participants can garden, learn and socialize.
You can also read in Spanish/Español or Haitian Creole/kreyòl Ayisyen.
Gardeners are asked to make a suggested minimum donation of $40 per plot to help cover community costs such as bed repairs, mulch, soil, compost, tools, and general maintenance. Additional funds raised help award scholarships to our community members.
This year, we have divided the garden into neighborhoods with a garden leader being a point of contact in those areas. Because our garden is so large - 223 plots! - we hope this will help us get to know our gardening neighbors better and help sustain lines of communication. Early in the season you should receive a welcome message from the leader listed below with their contact information.
Pink (north plots) - Tammy
Green (northwest plots) - Rachel
Yellow (northeast plots) - Aaron
Blue (central west plots) - Lisa & Katie
Red (central east plots) - Mac & Evelyn
Purple (south east plots) - Kelly & Alyssa
Orange (south west and front plots) - Mary & Terri
You will also still receive all garden emails from hellohowardgarden@gmail.com and should feel free to use that email at any time. Also, a quick note to those who have two plots, you may fall under different leaders. Please feel free to communicate with either or both.
